Following the astonishing success of the original 1000 and 1000i ranges, Q Acoustics have again approached the world's most renowned loudspeaker designers and challenged them to engineer a new range of speakers that deliver both unrivalled sonic performance and breathtaking value for money. In other words, Q Acoustics wanted the new 2000 Series to be the very best affordable loudspeakers ever produced. Oh, and they asked them to make the new speakers look very stylish as well.
After undertaking considerable research and development, they informed Q Acoustics they could achieve this ambitious goal. However, to do so they would have to incorporate the very latest technical advances in design measurement and materials and therefore Q Acoustics must not constrain the new designs in any way. They would require unlimited access to an anechoic chamber and the very latest technology, including laser spectrometry and finite element analysis.
